Summary:

The NEX Laundry is located on the Guantanamo Naval Station, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The project involved a remodel of the existing Laundry Offices, Sewing Shop, Fitting Rooms, Taylor Shop and Rental Car Office. FMI’s scope included the demo and installation of a new duct system, new 10 ton air cooled air conditioning system with refrigerant re-heat, and a stand alone DDC control system.

Results:

The designed system was installed per specs. but struggled to condition the space properly. The design was modified per the Designer of Record (DOR) and now satisfies the space. The client accepted the project with no reservations. The project was closed out on time and within budget.
